The Bathini Gouds will administer mrigasira karthi fish medicine for asthma patients from 9 pm on June 8 to 9.10 pm on June 9 at Exhibition grounds, Nampally.The Bathini brothers are expecting at least 7 lakh patients from all over the country to come to Hyderabad. Government departments such as municipal corporation, water works, electricity and APSRTC and voluntary organisations have come forward to help the programme, they said.
HYDERABAD: Five centres will be set up to issue tokens in advance for the Bathini fish medicine to be administered on Mrigasira Karthi day, said Hyderabad District Collector R Chandravadhan.He chaired a meeting held on Tuesday to discuss preparations for administering the medicine on June 8 and 9 in the city.The Collector instructed the officials to arrange proper lighting at the venue as the Mrigasira muhurtham was at 9.10 p.m. on June 8. He also advised them to be prepared for medical emergencies in view of the prevailing high temperatures in the city as they were likely to continue for some more time.Senior officials from the departments of fisheries, transport, water works, police and fire gave an update on the arrangements made by them.The transport department will arrange special buses, including one bus from the airport, to transport people to the Exhibition Grounds, the venue of the programme. The officials are also holding discussions with auto drivers to carry passengers to the grounds at nominal rates.The fisheries department plans to set up 33 stalls to supply fishlings required for the medicine. NGOs and voluntary organisations will take care of food arrangements at the venue. They will supply food specified for the fish medicine.Biotronics, the company behind the Sudarshan token scheme in Tirupati, will handle the advance token system. The firm will issue tokens from June 3 at special centres in the exhibition grounds and the Mandal Revenue Offices (MROs) in Nampally, Musheerabad, Secunderabad and Bandlaguda free of cost.The city administration and various departments will meet again this week to finalise an action plan for the event
